Violin -
Violinist Maggie Brady received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder studying with Harumi Rhodes. She then went on to become a violinist in the graduate string quartet in residence at CU Boulder and earned an Artist Diploma in String Quartet Studies under the instruction of the Takács Quartet. During her time in the quartet Maggie participated in many chamber music festivals and seminars including the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar, Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, Music in the Vineyards, and Madeline Island Chamber Music, where the quartet was accepted as the Emerging Artists Quartet in residence. They also collaborated with MacPhail Center for Music, Bravo! Vail, and Aspen Music Festival to bring chamber music to young musicians across the states Maggie has studied under quartets including the Juilliard Quartet, Emerson Quartet, American Quartet, Telegraph Quartet, Jupiter Quartet, and Takács Quartet, and she has performed alongside members of the Calidore, Pacifica, Catalyst, St. Lawrence, Aizuri, and Takács Quartets. Maggie is currently pursuing her Masters degree from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor where she serves as the concertmaster of the University Philharmonia Orchestra and is studying with Danielle Belen. Maggie loves teaching students of all ages and levels of experience, and in her free time she loves to do puzzles, journal, bake cookies, and go on hikes with her dog Misty.
